Summer Has Arrived At Endz 2 Endz !!

Summer has finally arrived in the UK, well at least yesterday in London the sun made it's official debut this month - better late than never. We were blessed with all the sun that we've missed this month all at once in a heatwave. Causing alarm for the poor paramedics who had many casualties. The sun has been missing so long people can't handle it when it does make an appearance !! ANYWAY... forget the weather for now (by the way sun that is no excuse to disappear on us again). If you didn't know already I'm blog editor over at the London based, UK magazine's website - and what I wanted to share with you all is that summer has also arrived at Endz2Endz Magazine's website. We have a brand new look - a summer themed one at that and new attributes to the website. Also look out for the upcoming articles and very soon the sixth issue of the magazine. So make sure sometime today - and everyday you make sometime to check out the website. ← IT'S CLICKABLE !!

I've Been MIA, But I'm Back..

Sorry I Was Missing In Action...

HUGE. MASSIVE & FULL... apologies that I've been MIA. I mean I've posted a couple things, but two posts in the space of two months when so much has happened is bang out of order right..? I've neglected you my readers, and my website. NOW... the guilt is out the good news is that I'm back. I've missed blogging - I've still been tweeting away and using my Tumblr but that's all mobile stuff. As for the stories that should have been posted such as the late great Nate Dogg's death (bless his soul), comebacks and new videos - they will be posted and will be found in the archives for March and April. ANYWAY... as for what I said back in January with the small changes that were supposed to be coming; don't worry those words didn't go in vain, more intriguing post will be on their way - so look out for that.

Valentines Special: My Top 5 Songs

My TOP 5 Valentines Tracks...♥

I don't particularly celebrate Valentines Day, but I absolutely love my slow jams. I don't think you need a certain day to wine and dine with a lover or get down to special music !! BUT... my top 5 right here are definitely appropriate for the day. Check them out...

♥ 'Freek'n You': This is probably the track Jodeci are most known for - especially for the amateurs (no offence).  From their third studio album, The Show, the After Party, the Hotel. This 1995 track that peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 is definitely certified to get things started.

♥ '25 Resons': has to be on this list. Representing the ladies, Nivea's 2002 hit from her self-titled debut album was a banger. Now this one's for the fellas, you better hope your woman this Valentines - unless she's just a date, is in love with you !!

♥ 'So Anxious': from Ginuwine back in 1999. The single from his second album, 100%Ginuwine peaked the Billboard Hot 100 at #16. Never mind the position it sat at though this track is a 100%  set-the-mood type track. The lyrics, the tone and the production would make you want to do something really nasty nice !!

♥ 'Slow': From the multi-talented Jamie Foxx's third studio album, this track is oh so sexy. This number is a lyrical masterpiece, and my favourite cut from his 2008 album. Trust me on this one, he gave us 'Blame It' from this release and that's still spinning on the radio, so believe me when I say this track is a HOT ONE for this Valentines Day.

 

♥ 'My Boo': This duet from 2004 seems to have been forgotten in the world of R&B. The cut from Usher's fourth studio album Confessions with the lovely Alicia Keys is such a beautiful track. I don't know why it has disappeared. I haven't forgotten and that's why it has made my top 5 this Valentines Day.

Just wishing those who celebrate it,  HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !! I know it's one of the most commercial days of the calender, but I know some of y'all celebrate it and get all emotional about it. The singletons start hating, the couples start complaining. What's the point then..?  Just have fun, whether you're kicking it with friends, speed dating or getting down with your lover.

1ST YEAR AND COUNTING...

This week, marks the 1st year anniversary of my blog !! (WOOHOO !!) My blog turned 1 years old yesterday, and I'm so proud - though I didn't blog yesterday and I'm blogging only now. Better late than never hey..? I was hoping to have a slight change to the site this week, but it hasn't quite gone to plan. Nothing major, just a few technical changes I don't want to take away too much. ANYWAYS... I just want to really thank you all for reading my posts, and checking back each time, even when there hasn't been any updates. SO... please continue !!

2011 IS HERE !!

Out With 2010 !!

Goodbye 2010 !!

WOW !! I seriously can't believe the year is almost out already, it's gone so quickly. Nevertheless so much has happened. I started this blog this January, though recently I haven't been committed due to university and the other site I blog at. This year my second nephew was born, I've done some cool interviews with Endz 2 Endz . I've also seen a friend release her first novel, so make sure you hit up the Chrissiefizz website/ Facebook and find out how to get that book !! So that's evidence right there that this year has been successful. I'm just gonna keep this real short, so I hope you've enjoyed my blog this year, and stay locked for what's to come in the next. Hopefully a new look, new themes and you know - out with the old in with the new. Hope you all have fun going into the New Year, whether you're old enough to rave it up, or just young enough to have a sip of some alcohol!! I'll hit y'all up with some stuff in the year to come.

It's Been A While...

Back Again For The 4th Time !!

It's been a while, I must say. Yes I'm pulling out the 'busy' card again, but what else can I say it's the truth. Just to give you an update, I finished that short film course I was doing and the final piece was premiered at the BFI (British Film Instistute). Which is a MAJOR deal, especially for filmakers in the UK. SO... if I want to get into the filming thing, I'm already on my way with that pretty AWESOME achievement !! 

Also I've been busying myself with my contributions to the 5th issue of the Endz2Endz magazine - so look out for that. Other than that, you know what time it is, especially if you live in the UK. Back to school, college and for me back to university.  SO... part of my excuse for neglecting my beloved blog is settling back into education.

ANYWAY... I won't keep going on with my 21 reasons, because I'm sure you want to see some new posts. Stay locked right here, becasue I'm not going anywhere !!

Carnival Weekend 2010

WELL... today is the main day for Notting Hill Carnival. Though there were rumors going round yesterday that it's cancelled, it is definitly still on. I will be down there taking in the colourful vibes and the music. I LOVE ME SOME LOUD MUSIC !! Here (like I promised yesterday) are some more Soca bangers that you will be sure to hear today. See more after the jump. Carnival Weekend 2010

Notting Hill Carnival has come round again and over the weekend millions of people will be taking part in the celebratory event. Its two days filled with food and dancing, RIGHT UP MY STREET !!- but there is the history behind the event see here. Other than that what I like to do on the Monday (main day) is follow the trucks playing loud Soca and Calypso and the odd Bashment tune. I like to keep it moving, rather than standing up at a sound system listening to a different genre of music. If your going down there today and tomorrow, stay safe, stick with your groups and mostly enjoy yourselves. Here are two of my favourite Soca tunes right now and I'll be dropping few more tomorrow to fill in for my Music Monday. Enjoy :)

I KNOW, I KNOW... I haven't been around much this August. That sucks right, I mean August is the last month of summer and everything should be popping of here at this website. Well I got some new ideas and things coming soon. This way it will keep you entertained and not have you thinking, 'JUST NOTHER GOSSIP SITE' !! I want to get you involved, get y'all participating have y'all SAYING !! That's something to look forward to. Plus I know for the ones in education, school/ college/university is coming back round and that means leaisure time is coming to an end BOO !! I don't want you to go, I want you to stay and say. Where's Ja'e..?

Ja'e Been Busy !!

Hey lovely people. Now you're probably saying and thinking WHERE THE F*CK HAVE YOU BEEN. I don't blame you either, but when you got to do what you got to do, you got to do it right..? THAT DOESN'T MAKE MUCH SENSE !! Well I've been doing a film course, as you know I'm a lady of the media, I got to keep tabs with all these things. I'm like the oldest person there, but it's an experience. We're making a short film, so far titled 'Escape From The Hood' and it's like working hours. All for something that's only going to be 5 minute long !!  ANYWAY... to gain some Arts qualification I've had to start a blog - diary style of what we've been up to over the 10 day course. At this point I'm like half way through.

RELEVANCE...  since I've started this course along with the other things I do, it's really ate into my real blogging - right here, informing and entertaining you. I'm totally going to try my best to drop some posts this week, even if it's just music and videos. IF YOU WANT... check out this other blog I'm talking about by clicking this !!

If anything in th UK is moving on and up right about now it's the Endz 2 Endz Magazine !! I'm not being bias, just because I'm a journalist and blogger there, it's true. Coming up to the first anniversary of existance the fouth issue is finally out !! This issues's cover story is London's very own Marvell Crew who I interviewed a month ago. The magazine also features interviews with rapper/singer/model Simmy Wilson, all round female entertainer Clare Foxx, UK rapper Pound Sterling and so much more !! I WISH... I could sit here all day telling you what's in the mag, but it for y'all to click this image below and check it out yourselves !!  any young man that is really trying his best to redeem himself, it has to be Chris Brown !! I'm Back & I'm Much More Realer

Realer Than Ever !!

It's been two weeks, or maybe three. Whatever the count is, I've missed my daily dosage of blogging and that's real. It feels so good to be typing in this box again. Putting whatever is on my mind at this moment into text !!  SOUNDS WEIRD RIGHT..? I understand, that may sound a bit weird reading this, thinking I'm some kind of cyborg or whatever gets weirder than one of those, but I'm fo'real. Here's my excuse and it's truth. Those of you on my Facebook group will know it, for the time I've been away my PC has been an arse. YEAH, YEAH...  I need to get myself a Mac-Mac L'Oreal because they're worth it. Soon y'all, soon. In the meanwhile, I've had to scrap Firefox, Chrome and Safari for my blogging and go back to the old school and use Internet Explorer - the only browser that is allowing me to use this blogging system. You guys are lucky, I was actually contemplating moving to Wordpress, but I guess Explorer saved my Blogger life. *HAPPY FACE*

Cutting a long story real short, I'm back. I'm Ja'e and I'm fo'real !!

SO.. you must be wondering "HOLD UP WAIT A MINUTE" where the hell have I been. I know, I know. I haven't been entirely commited to my posts this week, but I have my reasons. As you should know - or at least now you do, I'm a blogger and an aspiring journalist. As I do, I try my best to put my self out there, so I'm constantly reading, tweeting, writing, tweeting, talking and did I mention tweeting..? Just a personal note from me, Ja'e.

Sorry there hasn't been much fresh blog posts this week. This week has been MAD busy for me. I was at the BBC Television Center on Thursday night for Jonathan Ross' show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. Which was really cool, and those who watched it on Friday night would have known there were some real special guests, one including Diddy and the two lovely girls in his new group Dirty Money. I must say Jonathan totally loved Dawn Richard - I think she reminded him of Rihanna. Unfortunately there we strict rules and I weren't allowed to take pictures of the live show. Though I was VIP I also didn't get to meet. In all it was an amazing experience.
