Songs in A Minor 10th Anniversary

Alicia Keys: Songs in A Minor

Today is the release date of singing beauty Alicia Key's re-release of her debut album Songs in A Minor. It is the second time the album is being re-relased the first time after it's orginal debut in 2001 being a remix and unplugged version a year later in 2002. This deluxe edition is extra special, it is a double disc 10th aninnversary special. It's hard to believe that Ms Keys has been in the game for 10 years now as her music still remains refreshing and true to her style. She has come a long way, from the young women with the braids to the woman she is today - a mother and a wife. The deluxe edition that uses the same photo on her original album cover, features unreleased tracks that may go as far back as 1997 (when she first started recorded her debut) on the second disc. There is also a collectors edition that features extra tracks on the second disc - some being live concert recordings and also a DVD. One track that has really got me from this blissful re-release is entitled 'Typewriter'. This joint really captures the old Alicia with her talking in parts of the track. Though it is old it is really refre to hear a song with that pinch of soul in it especially since R&B today has moved away from that quite some. Check out the original album art after the break, but before that have a listen to 'Typewriter'. Enjoy :)

BEAUTIFUL !!

NOT MUCH DIFFERNT TO THE RE-RELEASE HEY..?

Alicia & Swizz Tie The Knot...

Married At Last: Alicia & Swizz !!

FINALLY... Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz have tied the knot. They did it over the weekend in Italy on small scale. When I say small, I mean big but small - well private. Come on it's still big with all the stuff they've been through: baby mama drama's, divorce, name calling etcetera etcetera !! The bride rocked a beautiful Vera Wang dress while the groom was in a Tom Ford tuxedo - both looking stunning in white. Swizz's eldest child, Prince Nasir Dean was present for his dad's big day looking cute in a black tux. On to the next one like Swizz, the baby will be here soon. Bless the newly wedded couple. CONGRATULATIONS AT LAST !!

Alicia & Swizz Confirm Pregnancy !!

For weeks now I have been blogging about the mysterious baby bump of Alicia Keys and I also stated that nuptials between herself and long-term boyfriend Swizz Beatz were allegedly in the bag. I can now proudly say that Alicia is pregnant with Swizz baby !! AWWW !! The couple finally confirmed the rumors !! A spokesperson confirmed to People that they:

"..are expecting a baby and are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year"

It was all confirmed after their appearance at Black Ball for the 'Keep Children Alive' charity here in London yesterday. (Check out the pictures after the break -that means READ MORE..)

How sweet. It will be Alicia's first child and marriage, but it's nothing new for hubby-to-be. With his divorce proceedings finalized I wonder how Moshonda is feeling !!

ALL WE NEED IS A VERBAL CONFIRMATION !!

Un-thinkable Remix

Un-thinkable Remix !!

Alicia Keys 'Un-thinkable' has been remixed!!  Her current single that features background vocals from Drake now has a whole verse from the rap artist. 16 bars have been added at the start of the track, Drizzy never fails to impress. This little segment had me:

"I need you to rescue me from my destiny, I'm trying to live right and give you whatever's left of me. 'Cause you-know life is what you make it and if chance is like a picture it 'd be nice you just take. Let me take it for ya. I'm just down to ride.."

He always says the right thing. He just makes total sense. All the time !! Check out his hot bars on this hot new remix.

I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS GUYS DICTION !!

Drake Reveals 'Fireworks'

Drake 'Fireworks' Performance

I've been thinking that Drake's first track from his upcoming debut album Thank Me Later was going to be 'Over'. However he has confirmed that the first track from the highly anticipated album is a track featuring Alicia Keys entitled 'Fireworks'. HOW DO I KNOW..?  Drizzy performed this week at Club Nokia in LA this week along side some of his Young Money fam: Tyga and Nicki Minaj where he revealed this fact. In this video the crowd goes WILD with his bars WHO WOULD'NT..?! Unfortunately Alicia weren't there to show her part - as she's on tour in Europe at the moment. It's still hella enjoyable and SUPERBAD !! Check out his performance here, courtesy of Rap-Up.

HE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER !!

Alicia & Swizz Nuptials..?

Alicia & Swizz Getting Married..?

Rumors have been floating about cyber-gossip-space about Alicia Keys being pregnant with lover Swizz Beatz child !! We've had proof via the snaps of her in maternity clothes on her Element Of Freedom tour. there are rumors of nuptials in July !! JULY ISN'T THAT SOON !! MTO were the first to break this yesterday and US WEEKLY have claimed to have details on the upcoming wedding. Here's what a so called pal revealed about the couple:

[Swizz and Alicia] will get married in either Dubai or France...Jay Z and a bunch of other celebs will be there."

Well UK WEEKLY is supposed to be a reliable source, so it's just waiting for an official confirmation !! If they are, well congrats to the couple once more !!

SWIZZ IS JUST GOING THROUGH HIS DIVORCE.

THOUGH THEY'VE DATED FOR YEARS...BUT IT IS A BIT FAST !!

Alicia 'Un-thinkable'

Alicia - 'Un-thinkable'

If any female celeb has had the new this week it's Alicia Keys!! Her video for her track co-written and featuring vocals from Drake, 'Unthinkable (I'm Ready)' premiered earlier today.   The video flicks in out out of  modern day and the 50s in a small suburban town, with her love interest played by Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. For those waiting for a visual from her and Bey's track 'Put It In A Love Song' it may just be next as she told Rap-Up:

"Expect it right after my 'Un-thinkable' video. It's kind of nice that I have such a great video and such a great artist in the can. They're going to be able to see the 'Un-thinkable' video first then see 'Put It in a Love Song', but it probably won't come until closer to this summer."

Well I guess we gotta wait. In the meanwhile check out her cut new video. Directed by Londoner Jake Nava, who is responsible for many of our adverts such as HSBC and Rimmel London. More well known for Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' video.

REAL SMOOTH SOUND. NICE ONE ALICIA !!

Alicia On Sex In The City Soundtrack

Double Alicia !!

Another track is circulating from The Sex & The City 2010 soundtrack and this time we got the lovely Alicia Keys on a 'SEXED' up version of 'Rapture' by the 80s group Blondie. The track has been remixed with the SATCs theme tune. Me personally her voice gets drowned out by the beat, but that's just my opinion !! Alicia's 'Empire State of Mind II' also features on the soundtrack. Take a listen.

MEANWHILE... As we know Miss Keys is on her Element of Freedom tour, at the moment she's in Frankfurt, Germany (SHE'S CLOSE UK !!) and she's still on preggers watch !! This picture was taken... #ThatIsAll

SHE IS DEFINITELY PREGGERS !!

Alicia Pregnant?

Is Alicia Pregnant..?

So rumor has it that Miss Alicia Keys is pregnant with boyfriend Swizz Beatz love child !! Nothing has been confirmed but this picture seems to be the one that has sparked of the rumor. Just the other day people were saying how much weight the songstress has lost, since being on tour, and now they want to say she's pregnant. CONFUSED !!  If it is just a rumor lucky Mashonda who is in the middle of a divorce with Mr Beatz who's real name is Kasseem Dean. If she is, congratulations to the happy couple !!

WHATEVER THE SITUATION, ALICIA WILL MAKE A HOT MAMA !!
