COLE WORLD, NO SNUGIE !!

A message from J.Cole, via his Dream Villain blog:

For the record, these are not mixtapes, not EP’s either. I wake up on Sunday’s and I decide what songs I want to let out or rerelease for yall. You’ve been so patient for 2 YEARS! I think you deserve some insight and unreleased music.

1. Bring Em’ In- Made this in ATL during the “single hunt” phase. Even though it wasn’t a single and won’t make the album, I love this shit!

2. Roll Call- Just some real shit. Venting

3. Be Freestyle- “Put on for my city like my favorite jacket… “man, you gon’ where that every got damn night??”.. “know what I paid for this shit?? bitch, you got damn right!!”

Music Monday: Drake - Headline

Drake: Headline

How ironic is it for an artist that is constantly hitting the headlines, to call their leading track of their upcoming album 'Headline'..? Quite ironic and smart if I must say so. Drake has hit us with a new track to start of the week and to make us even more anticipated about his sophomore album Take Care. THE TRACK... produced by Boi-1da is one that is sure to take on the radio, with his mixture of hard rapping and singing. However in my opinion it will be a slow grow. As a Drizzy fan, as soon as he drops a new track I am on it like a house on fire, but this particular track though it has a really catchy hook is one that you might have to listen to a few times over before it really stick. LYRICALLY... the track is dope, Drizzy doesn't fail to smash his verses on this one - but the early reviews may not be in favour as his tracks are usually a one time listen and then it's a favourite. MY VERDICT... I'm liking it so far, totally loving the hok but I say give it a week or a days listen on repeat for it to really soak in.  REMINDER... Take Care is due to drop October 24th. NOW... have a listen, what say you..? Drop me a line. Enjoy :)

DEFINITE GROWER !!

Music Monday: Better With The Lights Off

New Music: New Boyz ft. Chris Brown

To kick off your Monday afternoon here's something nice and fresh from the 'jerkin' New Boyz, Legacy and sexy Ben J. Coming off their upcoming album, Too Cool To Care the track entitled 'Better With The Lights Off' featuring Chris Brown, has a refreshing electro hop sound. The track produced by The Cataracs - the duo responsible for the production of the club banger 'Like A G6' from the Far East Movement and also Snoop Dogg's track 'Wet'; won't be everyones cup of tea, but it's a definite grower as it's very catchy, and a potential club track. WHAT I'M REALLY SAYING...In terms of being a grower type track, it has room to spread its wings and hopefully spread that of the New Boyz as they're more of a Internet sensation over here in the UK - thanks to their jerkin' !! Also time is of the essence for this track and the rest of their hip hop/rap/electro pop album - summer is almost here !! Check out the track and tell me what you think. Enjoy :)

CERTIFIED GROWER !!

Lil' Kim Claps Back

New Music: Lil' Kim - Clap Clap

Remember when Ja Rule sang 'We gon' clap back'..? Well Queen B aka Lil' Kim  is doing just that and believe me, she's on it like sonic !! NOW... I'm sure all of you that are following what I call 'The Barbie Beef' between Queen B and Harujuku Barbie - Nicki Minaj, and have heard Kim's 'Black Friday' diss (KIM WENT IN HARD ON THAT). Well she's back again with something fresh, a grower I'll say. A track decent for some radio play, to keep the buzz going for her upcoming mixtape with The International Rockstars (IRS). WHO..? I'm not entirely sure who IRS is but I'm guessing it's her new crew !! ANYWAY... the track featuring her crew it's simply a comeback hit, her very own big up track/ come back anthem.  Overall the track is pretty cool. It's not the super hard stuff she used to give us, and it's not epic like the 'Black Friday' diss. So I'm expecting people to say it's wack and spit all that jazz. The track also acts as an introduction to IRS with some of the members dropping a couple bars on the track. SIMPLY... well at least I'm hoping, as far as Kim's quality CAN go, this track is just the key in the ignition ready to be started. Check it out...

WELCOME BACK QUEEN BEE!!

New Music: Swizz Monster Monday Tracks

Swizz Beatz Monster Tracks

Eve is back, finally. She teams back up Ruff Ryder, Swizz Beatz on his newly produced track, 'Hot Steppa'. The track is apart of Beatz new 'Monster Mondays'. BASICALLY... Monday's are the new 'G.O.O.D Friday's' that his fellow musician Kanye West was doing. So look out for much more from Beatz Monday's to come. I mean Monster Mondays. I'm sure that will go down well with Twitters #MusicMonday. Smart move Beatz !! ANYWAY... check out Eve's new joint, courtesy of Swizz Beatz. Trust me this one is a grower. I'm loving the single art for this too, similar in tint (colour) to Kanye's stuff. If you want to check out last weeks Monster Monday track, make sure you hit that read more button. Enjoy :)

CLUB BANGER TO BE !!

So last weeks Monster Monday track was a dance sounding track Diddy Dirty Money, entitled 'Ass On The Floor'. Now the production on this definitely make you want to get your ass on the floor and start moving !! It also has an alternate cover for the track. Check it out...

I LIKE IT !!

New Music: Bobby V - Altered Ego

Bobby V: Altered Ego (ft. 50 Cent)

It's about time Bobby V hit us up with something new. He teams up with 50 Cent on a new track called 'Alter Ego'. I love when Fiddy jumps on some R&B, it adds that gangsta love type vibe to a song !! I can tell you and I'm sure the fellas are going to love this when the video drops very soon, that there's a chick with a humongus booty in there !! So that's something for you guys to look out for !! Mr 'Lick Your Lips' (Bobby) is currently working on his 2011 album Fly on the Wall, and I'm hoping and guessing this track will be on there !! In the meanwhile check out his new collaboration...

NICE & SEXY :)

New Music: Donell Jones

Donell Jones: Love Like This

The 'Where I Wanna Be' underrated R&B singer Donell Jones is back !! CAN I GET AN AMEN..? For as long as I can remember he's always been one of my favourite R&B singers, and to me he never got that lift and exposure he deserved. I guess when it's your time. I'm hoping it's his time now, because his hot new album entitled Lyrics is set to knock us true Donell fans off our feet. We got to wait until September 28th when it's due to drop. FOR NOW... this new joint right here called 'Love Like This' has already got me falling, it brings back the smooth, mellow, sensuous vibes R&B has been missing for way too long. Check out this little teaser video for it...

REAL R&B IS BACK !!

R.Kelly Is Back !!

R. Kelly: When A Woman Loves

R. Kelly is back and he's taking it old school fo'real. Currently working on three separate albums you can't help but hope at least one of them is going to be the Kellz that we love with that old school, smooth love making vibe. Well you can definitely expect that from one of the albums which is entitled Epic. This song right here called 'When A Woman Loves', coming of that with a hot new video to go with the soulful vibes. It is very reminiscent in style, and in song title of Percy Sledge's 'When A Man Loves A Woman'. Even the video is pretty similar. WELL... I'm loving this track, and like Kellz says in the song, "when a woman loves, she loves for real." Check it out y'all...

WELCOME BACK KELLZ !!

New Music: Ron Isley ft. Lauryn Hill

Ron Isley 'Close To You' ft. Lauryn Hill

Now this right here is a seriously soulful collaboration right here. With the voices of Ron Isley and Lauryn Hill, you know you're in for quality. The unlikely pair have teamed up on the 60s classic '(They Long To Be) Close To You' first recorded by Richard Chamberlain - written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. I say unlikely pair, but you know Lauryn works well with anybody. This is a sure hopeful sign that she's making a comeback. This rendition is pure class, have a listen !!

BEAUTIFUL !!

Jay-Z Signs Willow Smith

Willow Whips Her Hair !!

Hair whippin' won't be the only thing little miss Willow Smith will be doing once she's raking in the millions !! Just freshly signed to Jay-Z's label Roc Nation, she's on her marks to take the music world by storm. Her first track leaked on the net earlier this week to, and damn she's sounding like Jigga Mans very own Rihanna !! RiRi isn't even in her prime yet and he's just signed this little stylista and potential music sensation. Rihanna better watch out is all I'm saying. It's all good though, the Smith clan is doing very well, with young Jaden Smith's hit role in this years Karate Kid and their parents already living ledgends, Jay has made a good move. WONDERING.... what the hell I was talking about whippin', check out Willow's track 'Whip My Hair', she's sounding good and better than Rihanna !! Sorry but it's true !! Enjoy :)

WATCH OUT RIHANNA !!

New Music: Kanye West 'Devil In A New Dress'

Devil In A New Dress

The second single from Kanye West's gift to us - releasing a new song every Friday until Christmas. They call it the G.O.O.D Music Friday Campaign !! ... is here. This new track that came out on Friday is called 'Devil In A New Dress', the irony is the background vocals sound kind of soulful but then I'm sure he says at the begining "I love the devil" - DAMN !! Maybe it's just my ears. This track brings back the classic Kanye, the Kanye we've been waiting to come back. Check it out...

LIKING THIS !!

New Music: Diddy Dirty Money & Drake

Diddy Dirty Money - Loving You No More

Something new from Diddy and the Dirty Money crew. Since 'Hello Goodmorning' I haven't heard much from them, or maybe that's just me !! WELL... they've got this new track entitled 'Loving you No More' featuring Drake. It has a real smooth, nod you head in relation to the meaning type vibe. It may be the next single on the album as he is a confirmed guest on the album Last Train To Paris which is due to drop October 12th. Sounds pretty good and the production is tight, check it out...

LIKING THIS A LOT !!

Every Woman Has One Of These...

New Music: Keri Hilson

Something new from Keri Hilson, that leaked on the 18th was released this week for digital downloading. The track is very vibeful, empowering and so true as she talks about women and that point that we all come to at some point in our lives. DUDES... I'm not leaving you out on this one, y'all should take a listen and you may learn something. No further avail I give you the Timbaland produced, 'Breaking Point'. Enjoy :)

LIKING THIS. IT'S SO TRUE !!

New Music: Drake - What If I Kissed You

Drake: What If I Kissed You

Something new from Drake (again). This track produced by Stargate, titled 'What If I Kissed You' is supposed to be on that R&B mixtape - It's Never Enough which is dropping real soon. I love me some Drizzy and his whole little singing he's got going on. His singing voice sounds a little thicker and more full on in this track than usual.  ANYWAY... the track still sounds real nice. Check it out and post your views by hitting that comment button...

TAKE ME I'M YOURS !!

New Music: J. Cole - Won't Be Long

J. Cole - Won't Be Long

This joint right here is a certified, promised banger. Coming from J. Cole this track is HARD you have to like this. His singing game has stepped up a notch. My boy @iamnytwolf ← (IT'S CLICKABLE) mentioned this track in his tweet and I had to jump right on it. You know something fresh for your Monday afternoon. This track has a real inspirational vibe to it and it touches on some serious points. It BETTER make Cole's upcoming debut album, Cole World which is due for an October release.  Produced by himself, check out J.Cole's 'Won't Be Long'...

COLE WORLD BABY !!

Drake's Ready For Ya !!

New Music: Drake

Something new from your boy Drake !! Can I get a WOOP WOOP ?! This track right here is a radio rip but I see it hitting the airwaves real big soon. Entitled 'I'm Ready For You' the track to me is like an 'Over' part two. It's got a similar message and vibe about it, though it's much more simple. I see this being on an EP or a mixtape, but to be honest this should have been put out ages ago. OH WELL... it's here now and it's Drizzy all the same. You'll get my drift when you have a listen. SO... check it out....

I'M FEELIN' THIS!!

New Music: Usher ft. Jay-Z

Usher: Hot Toddy

Something new from ya boy Usher, which should be on his upcoming EP, Versus. The track entitled 'Hot Toddy' is produced by Palow Da Don and written by Ester Dean features rappper Jay-Z. This apparently isn't the final cut as the female vocals are that of Ester. The final cut should have Ciara on it. Well lets just see about that. It's very upbeat and sounds real cool. Versus is due to drop August 24th. In the meanwhile check this joint out...

CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR CIARA ON IT !!

Trey Songz Is Easy...

New Music: 'Easy On Ourselves'

WHEN YOU GET ON MY LAST NERVES... a line from Trey Songz latest leaked track produced by Songbook. To be real, Trigga was starting to get on my nerves in terms of becoming a cliche. Don't get me wrong I love my sexed up tracks =P ← 'cause I'm nasty !! However there's a level. For those naive ones out there who have only been following Trey since his third album, his music wasn't all sexed up. This track right here entitled 'Easy On Ourselves' echo just that - and I like it. This is Trey going back to the basics and not becoming a weak artist dropping tracks every minute about the same thing !! Have a listen...

I LIKE ME MY OLD TREY !!

New Music: Jazmine Sullivan - Holding You Down

Jazmine Sullivan ft. Missy (Again)

I think I'm having a bit of a soulful Monday !! I mean these are the vibes that music is missing, I'm so glad it's coming back. My early post was on Lauryn Hill, here now I present to you something new from Jazmine Sullivan. The track is entitled 'Holding You Down 9Goin; In Circles)' and features Fat Joe and the sounds Missy Elliott. There's also a Lloyd Banks remix going round. Both of them sound good. I'll drop the remix sometime this week. This joint right here has a real Lauryn vibe to it, which is good, because if my girl doesn't make a comeback, at least we've got something close !! The track is coming off Jazmines upcoming album, Love Me Back which is due to drop September 28th. Have a listen...

GO CHRIS !! GO CHRIS !!
