Rihanna is about to top the charts again with her latest single from the LOUD album, 'S&M'. The video directed by Melina Matsoukas(the lady responsible for Ludacris' 'Money Maker' video) is very fun, vibrant and of course raunchy !! Here we see RiRi as a party animal with that crazy Ronald McDonald wig she was wearing the other week. There's also a cameo from the queen of celebrity blogging Perez Hilton!! WHAT I THINK... it's a real cool video, and this Stargateproduced track is definitely going to climb the charts. Might even be another UK #1 for the star !! The fish eye camera lens that create those really zoomed in shots remind me very much of Pink's 2001 UK #2 video for 'Get This Party Started'. ANYWAYS... check out the hot new video, and enjoy...
Something new from Drake (again). This track produced by Stargate, titled 'What If I Kissed You' is supposed to be on that R&B mixtape - It's Never Enough which is dropping real soon. I love me some Drizzy and his whole little singing he's got going on. His singing voice sounds a little thicker and more full on in this track than usual. ANYWAY... the track still sounds real nice. FINALLY something new from The Gentleman a.k.a Ne-Yo. His new track entitled 'Beautiful Monster' premiered just yesterday. Produced by Stargate it is the first single coming from his upcoming fourth studio album Libra Scales which is due for a September release. Apparently the album is based on script he has written in hopes of a Hollywood studio turning it into a movie. Ne-Yo says that the song is about:
"Beautiful monster is in fact a love interest/ arch nemesis..."
He goes on to say that listening to the song and then watching the film it will all make sense. Well I can't wait for some form of visual for this track - the cover art is very interesting and reminiscent of novel Frankenstein. The sound is very contrasting the production sounds electro-pop whilst the vocals are still R&B. I personally would call it 'Beautiful Monster (I Don't Mind)' !! ANYWAYS...have a listen :)
