New Video: Rihanna - Man Down

Rihanna: Man Down (Video)

FINALLY !! Rihanna's fifth single (US) 'Man Down' has finally made an appearance. The visual was just freshly premiered on BET's "106 & Park" (around 12am UK). The joint which was co-written by fellow Bajan Shontelle, had to be shot somewhere in the Caribbean to match with the rhythmic reggae sounds produced by Shama Joseph. The video was shot and directed by Anthony Mandler in Jamaica in April 2011. Mandler told MTV News of the video in May:

"It's just one of those songs that demands a strong narrative and visual...you can expect something that's dramatic and shocking and intense and emotional and uplifting and enlightening."

The last couple of videos Mandler has shot for RiRi have been very floral and pretty; not to say this one isn't pretty but the reality of the song is seriously emotional a tad disturbing and definitely dramatic !! When it comes to translating audio to a visual Mandler is your man, and he has lived up to every word he told MTV under a month ago. The visual other than the guns that add the 'gangsta' appeal that Rihanna told MTV of last year, really makes you want to book a flight out to Jamaica and enjoy the relaxed vibe of the island while sipping on some fresh jelly coconut juice - as Rihanna does in the footage. MESSAGE...Rihanna also tweeted earlier that there is a message in her 'shocking' track: dsds

"Very strong underlying message 4 girls like me! #listentoyomama"

ONE ISSUE... the video could potentially be band from certain channels as did her S&M video, but this time due to the violent elements to the song and video. I'm hoping that they won't edit it or band it, but we'll see. Apologies in advance if the video doesn't work. With no further adieu, check it out...

COOL VIDEO!!

The video nicely directed by Anthony Mandler premiered earlier today via MotionDose - so if you see that written on the video clips, that's why. Mandler has done a really good job on this though it is simple. Check it out...

NICE !!

New Video: Drake - Miss Me

Drake: Miss Me

My boy Drizzy Drake's video for 'Miss Me' is finally here. The video directed by Anthony Mandler features Lil' Wayne. HOW..? How what huh..? Well as you know Weezy is incarnated right about now, and as posted in mid-July he shot the video for this and 'Fancy'. SO... what they did was shoot Weezy's part on a green screen before he went it - probably when he shot the videos for 'Knock Out' and the rest of them. MY VERDICT... I know some of y'all like to criticise Drizzy's videos, if you didn't like 'Over' well you won't like the video for this one. I liked it, and this one is even cooler !! It follows the same theme in terms of the colours, lighting and the whole projection thing Mandler has got going on. IN ADDITION... you got to read more for that and something else... Enjoy the video :)

... Drake was live on UStream last night - well this morning for us in the UK !! Check the photo (on your right) where he lights a FU candle for his haters !! He briefly spoke about a welcome concert for Lil' Wayne in November. Him working on a R&B mixtape - because he loves us dearly and he's used to giving his fans freebies. For the Drizzy freshers he's working on his next album, so look out !!

TELL ME WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON !!

New Video: Trey Songz - Bottoms Up

Bottoms Up Video Is Here !!

The video for the club banger 'Bottoms Up' is now here !! The Trey Songz joint featuring Roman Zolanski. OH... just in case you don't know that's just Nicki Minaj's alter-ego !! The video was directed by one of my favourite directors of the moment - Anthony Mandler. IT'S CRAZY !! Of course there is the trademark event of Trigga getting up close and personal with the ladies, The Barbz doesn't fail to have a little wiggle her self. I'm not quite sure if I'm feeling her makeup with the trademark bob styled wig - this time blonde. I do love her 'Shimmy Shimmy Ya' type voice during the song, and the effect to go with it is WKD !! DON'T MIND ME... just get on with watching the video, I know you ladies are gagging to see Trey !! Enjoy :)

BOTTOMS UP !! BOTTOMS UP!!

New Video: Usher - There Goes My Baby

There Goes My Baby

The video for Usher's second single 'There Goes My Baby' from his sixth studio album is finally here. We've heard this sexy single all over the radio, and it's about time our imaginations are put to rest, and our eyes see some real visuals !! I was really supposed to drop this post yesterday at noon when it was freshly premiered, but unfortunately for y'all I had other business to attend to. Which I'll fill you on real soonish !! ANYWAYS... the video has Mr Raymond in a black tank top showing of his muscles and then switching to some saucier scenes with him and his love interest flirting big time !! No further avail check out this Anthony Mandler directed hotness !! Enjoy :)

Sneak Peek: Rihanna - 'Rock Star 101'

Rihanna's fourth track of her album Rated R  'Rock Star 101' is almost here. A 29 second preview of the video directed by Anthony Mandler has been made available.  After getting drum lessons from Blink-182's very own Travis Barker  to get her rock RiRi the pop-fashionista without a doubt is dressed to make a huge statement and I'm sure her buddy  Lady GaGa would be dead proud of her !! The 'Tem Amo' singer GOES IN !! on is dressed in a latex body suit, will killer puffy shoulders, a RED wig and a military styled hat to top it all off. ENOUGH SAID !! Check out the hot preview to the video...

I'M  ACTUALLY LIKING THAT RED WIG !!
